Heard Museum review of Uprising

uprising-cvr-new-RGBThe Heard Museum has published a review of Jake Page’s new book Uprising in their July–September 2014 issue of Earth Song. Reviewer Lynn Bullock writes that the “Pueblo Revolt of 1680 is probably one of the least-known events in American Indian history,” and that Jake Page “sets out to bring this uprising, known in the Southwest as the ‘First American Revolution,’ to a larger audience.” Bullock describes that, “On the morning of August 10, 1680, Page writes, ‘All hell broke loose … ‘ What happens next will enthrall readers learning of Po’Pay’s revolution for the first time, as well as those who already know the tale.” The full review appears below. Earthsong_JUL-SEPT
